Private blood pressure calibration service will take place in November 2015.

In conjunction with our PPG (Patient Participation Group) we decided to offer patients to bring they own private blood pressure machines and get those calibrated once a year. Our machines are being calibratred annually to make sure they are reading accurately. Without annual calibration it can't be ascertained that the readings are correct, so your home readings might be unreliable.

Currently there is no local service providing calibration for patients own machines, so we thought it will be a good idea to offer one. Unfortunately we have to pay for that service, so the offer will be at cost, which is currently £9.95.

We will advertise the exact date in November, so you could bring in your machine, leave it at the reception and then collect it after calibration and payment.
